- John, I will have to agree with certain elements of your post. I do think that non-citizens who are here illegally allow wages to be kept low for laboring workers. These people will work cheap because it's ten times what they would make in their own country.

- Agree. They should take a good look at what the UK does. You either have to be educated, truly artistic, be sponsored by a registered company, or have some other worthwhile attribute to contribute to even be considered to be given permission to take up permanent residence.
